“SHAKTI” to secure coal supply for TPPs Press Information Bureau

Ministry of Power, on 07.12.2021, has permitted import of coal for blending purpose for the period of 2022-23 by NTPC and DVC upto 10% of coal required for ensuring 85% Declared Capacity (DC) of its plants. In respect of State Gencos and Independent Power Producers (IPPs), blending upto 4% has been advised.Posted On: 28 NOV 2022 4:01PM by PIB Delhi. Under the scheme, PFC Consulting Ltd has invited bids for the supply of 4,500 MW. Supply of electricity will commence from April 2023. Methodology Issued for Rationalization of Linkages/ Swapping of Coal

The scheme envisages transfer of coal quantity in terms of gross Calorific Value (GCV) equivalence and is applicable for non-coking coal only. The Arrangement shall be allowed only within the same sector viz.
